I went through the process, had conversations about the problem I wanted to solve, and learned that my solution wasn’t viable.
Good News – I saved months, perhaps years, of my time.
Bad News – Now what? I didn’t have the next idea lined up to evaluate.
I went into my EO forum meeting last week feeling rudderless.

Some takeaways:
- Artists go through this every time they complete a show and have to start something new.
- Define my criteria and write it down. Constraints create clarity.
- Create a list of my strengths.
- Look around. What could I copy, but do better? What are the idiots doing and making money?
This session with my forum broke up the log jam. Ideas started flowing within 24 hours.
More importantly, it gave me a process for progress. I’ve got some work to do.
